Malika is the mother of Adam, a young boy with severe autism. Every day, she lives with the persistent fear of one day leaving this world and having to leave her son alone. Her daily life is a mix of terror, loneliness, uncertainty, and screams—but also love, connection, dreams, freedom, and hope.
A tragic event pushes Malika to consider placing Adam in a specialized institution. That’s when an unexpected encounter changes their lives. Mahmoud, a man who lost his entire family in a tragic accident and has nothing left to lose, becomes the caretaker of a cemetery he bought to stay close to his loved ones. His gift: he can communicate with the dead.
Against all odds, a deep bond forms between Adam and Mahmoud. They communicate in a unique way—not with words, but with their souls. They grow close and embark on extraordinary adventures together. However, their friendship becomes so intense that it begins to worry Malika, who eventually asks Mahmoud to distance himself from her son. Mahmoud reluctantly agrees and comes to understand the profound importance of their bond. Unexpectedly, he helps open Malika’s eyes to the true nature of her son.
